From having worked in the petroleum industry test industry, I learned from our customers that Mobil 1 has been the pioneer and the performance benchmark for synthetic lubricants.
From personal experience, I have used this product in my vehicles, both classic and contemporary, for more than fifteen years or easily 2 million miles without an engine failure.
Be careful, I purchased Mobil 1 at walmart, then had a lube shop use this oil in my oil change. After about 700 miles my engine started to knock. Since my engine holds 4 quarts there was a quart left in the Mobil 1 container, I looked at it, it was waste oil, my engine is ruined. WalMart will not stand behind their product, sent me a letter that said tough luck. Watch out, just because it says Mobil 1 check it out.
